The Position:

We are looking for a full time Project Leader to join the team in developing the next generation point of care diagnostics at our laboratories in Thurleigh, Bedfordshire.

This is a multidisciplinary role offering the candidate the opportunity to lead lateral flow development projects from Proof of Concept through to final product release and commercialisation.  This includes, but is not limited to, owning all aspects of Project Management, developing detailed project plans, leading cross-functional teams, and tracking and communicating project status across the company.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing detailed project plans, GANTT charts, A3s, resourcing and cost estimates
  • Assignment of tasks and tracking of timelines and deliverables
  • Cross-functional management and communication with all project stakeholders including QA/RA, Clinical Trials, Marketing, Manufacturing and Finance
  • Reporting on progress vs plan including identification of risks and development of remediation plans
  • Scientific method development
  • Providing support, management and technical input to project team
  • Compiling required project documentation to ensure compliance with Quality Management System

You will need to be a collaborative, quick learner, an excellent leader and able to thrive in a vibrant environment where multitasking is routine.  Plus have a strong desire to deliver new products to market.

R&D CHEMIST REQUIRED

The Position: R&D Chemist

We are looking for a passionate Research and Development Chemist to join the Mologic team full time in developing the next generation point of care diagnostics at our laboratories in Thurleigh, Bedfordshire.

This is a multidisciplinary role requiring the candidate to proactively drive project progress with both an internal and external customer focus. The candidate will support the Chemistry team in delivering novel diagnostic assay reagents and characterising and optimising reagents across multiple assay platforms.  This will include, but is not limited to the application of bioconjugation methods, exploratory immunoassay techniques including nanoparticle technology, analytical and batch purification by chromatography, and the analysis and characterisation of antibody reagents. An ability to deliver across multiple projects is essential.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments in support of R & D projects and contract research
  • Development, optimisation and profiling of novel immunoreagents for assay platforms
  • Critical reagent characterisation and Quality Control
  • Recording and analysing data (including writing up in lab books)
  • Good laboratory practice
  • Presenting results for internal and client facing meetings
  • Writing reports, reviews and summaries
  • Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments

A proven record of effective applied scientific creativity at the interface between chemistry and biology. Experience in chemistry and/or biochemistry is essential, as well as applied academic or industrial research in a related field.

This is a multidisciplinary role requiring the candidate to proactively contribute in the research and development of lateral flow products.  This includes, but is not limited to, material and reagent preparation optimisation and development, assessment of biomarkers and antibody characterisation for both internal and external customer focussed projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • setting up and undertaking controlled experiments
  • performing immunoassays (ELISA and Lateral flow)
  • reagent preparation, including bioconjugations
  • recording and analysing data (including writing up in lab books)

Protein Purification Scientist

The Position:
We are looking for passionate Protein Purification Scientist to join the team full time delivering recombinant protein services at our laboratories in Thurleigh, Bedfordshire.

This is a multidisciplinary role requiring the candidate to routinely manufacture a range of products and proactively drive the development of protein purification processes, including scale up, method development and implementation of novel purification processes.  This includes, but is not limited to, project planning and reporting against agreed milestones, material assessment and optimisation, development and characterisation of analysis techniques for both internal and external customer focussed projects.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Chromatography based purification and characterisation of proteins
  • Conducting experiements, interpreting and responding to results
  • Optimisation and scale up of downstream purification processess
  • Quality analysis of purified proteins
  • General laboratory reagent preparation and cleaning
  • Detailed laboratory record keeping
  • Report writing
  • Presentation of data internally and to clients
  • Experience working in an accredited environment
  • Maintaining and increasing technical knowledge in relevant fields

Education/Experience:
A proven record, with at least 2 years varied experience, in protein purification, using a variety of methods and scales. An Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Biology or a related subject area.

This is a multidisciplinary role requiring the candidate to proactively drive project progress in the transfer and scale up of lateral flow products from R&D to Manufacturing.  This includes, but is not limited to, project planning and reporting against agreed milestones, material assessment and optimisation, process development and implementation of new processes for both internal and external customer focussed projects.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reagent and material preparation, including bioconjugations
  • Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments
  • Transferring products from R&D to Manufacturing
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of new processes into R&D and Manufacturing
  • Optimisation and scale up of processes
  • Quality analysis of ELISA, lateral flow products and reagents
  • Detailed laboratory record keeping
  • Report and SOP writing
  • Presentation of data internally
  • Maintaining and increasing technical knowledge in relevant fields
